* Trial of the Chicago 7 - Cocktails & Conversation Zoom Event

On Thursday, February 4, at 8 pm, Mark Levine and Danny Greenberg, editors of “The Trial of the Chicago 7: The Official Transcript,” will discuss their book, which was the basis for the Aaron Sorkin movie currently on Netflix (and a hot contender for a Best Picture nod at this year’s Academy Awards). The event is part of the Cocktails and Conversation series sponsored by the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation and will be facilitated by the always excellent Amy Bass. The book — the official record of what happened at the 1968 trial of the notorious Chicago 7 — vividly portrays the outrage, ideology and humor evident as anti-war activists Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin and Tom Hayden faced charges related to the protests at the Democratic National Convention.
